The course is designed by Graham Marsh, who was born in Kalgoorlie, and his team at Graham Marsh Golf Design (GMGD). The project has been developed with the support of Land Corp  and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Perth-based Kalgoorlie-Boulder Golf & Spa Resort (KBGSR) was awarded the tender for the construction of the course in November 2005 and the course will be ready for play in late 2007. The contract for the construction of the first 18 holes has been awarded to McMahons.
